Bourbon’s move to join a project developing an autonomous offshore vessel comes as the owner seeks to execute a “transformational plan” and avoid being left behind in the digital age.
Jacques de Chateauvieux’s Bourbon is working with Automated Ships and Kongsberg on the project for a fully-automated offshore support vessel.
“To weather the profound crisis of the offshore industry and propose answers to our oil and gas customers who need to reduce their production costs, Bourbon is entering a transformation phase,” a spokesperson explained.
