Norwegian offshore operator Farstad Supply has won a second UK supreme court ruling in a hard fought legal battle over a fire that killed one man and caused serious damage to a vessel almost nine years ago.
Farstad is claiming £2.7m ($4.4m) compensation for negligence by Enviroco, a company employed to clean the oil tanks of the 4,680-dwt Far Service (built 1995) with the dispute already the subject of multiple rulings by the Scottish and English courts.
