Chinese oil company and shipowner CNPC has scooped the world's largest-ever seismic survey contract from ADNOC of Abu Dhabi.
The UAE company said CNPC will bank AED 5.88bn ($1.6bn) from the deal, which calls for 3D data provision from up to 53,000 sq km of territory.
ADNOC said it is trying to "identify and unlock new opportunities and maximise value from its hydrocarbon resources and deliver on its 2030 smart growth strategy."
