Indian rig player Aban Offshore has posted a net loss in its first quarter.
The company said the deficit to 30 June was INR 1.43bn ($30.67m), compared to a profit of INR 1.1bn in the same period of 2009.
Turnover was INR 8.42bn, up from INR 7.93bn, however.
Aban hit the headlines when its Aban Pearl rig sank off Venezuela in May.
Indian media reported that its insurers have paid out on a claim of $235m for the incident, around 97% of the amount Aban was seeking.
