A general cargoship involved in a fatal collision off France in 2007 has finally been sold for scrap.
The 2,100-dwt Ocean Jasper (built 1978) has been lying idle at the port of Brest, but will now be broken up by Recycleurs Bretons, Le Telegramme reported.
The recycler paid just EUR 4,070 ($4,800) for the vessel, which was responsible for the sinking of the shrimper Sokalique and the death of its skipper.
