TIL was formed with the aid of private equity money in 2013 and has since grown its fleet aided by capital raised first on the Oslo over the counter (OTC) market and then the main Oslo Stock Exchange.
When Teekay revealed late last year it was looking at a fleet transaction, TIL was one of the names in the tip of everybody’s tongue and tanker market sources have since been expecting a deal.
