Germany’s United Shipping Group (USG) has launched a new heavylift division dedicated to the dry tow market.
The new division, United Heavy Transport (UHT), will operate with a fleet of five purpose-built semi-submersible heavy transport vessels.
The Chinese-owned deck carriers, with dynamic positioning two capabilities, have since 2018 been operated in partnership with United Heavy Lift (UHL), a separate part of the Lars Rolner-controlled USG.
