Three of six LR2 tanker newbuilds ordered by BW Group — and now run under the Hafnia Tankers banner — appear poised for time-charter employment as the shipowner takes delivery of the vessels.
The first three of the 115,000-dwt ships have now been delivered and shipbroking sources in Europe claim Hafnia has put them out on 12-month charters.
The BW Larissa has been fixed to Cargill at $22,500 per day, while the US agricultural giant has taken sistership BW Galate for $22,000 per day.
