New York-listed Costamare Inc saw profit soar in the third quarter of this year, helped by larger fleet numbers amid a robust market for containerships — particularly larger ones.
The Athens-based company reported net income of $36m in the three months to 30 September, up from $14m in the same period last year. Common stockholders earned 24 cents per share — a fourfold increase from last year.
