Cosco's bid for Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) will figure among the last of the major consolidation moves that have redrawn the liner shipping map, analysts say.
The deal comprising Chinese and Hong Kong partners was unveiled in a week that saw the establishment of the Ocean Network Express (ONE) alliance involving Japanese liner operators Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK), Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) and K Line.
