AW Ship Management (AWSM) has won a £59m ($78m) tender to provide services for three specialist nuclear cargo vessels.
The London-headquartered company will provide technical and crew management services over the next five years. AWSM, formerly known as Andrew Weir Shipping, will provide a pool of 130 seafarers.
The contract was awarded by Nuclear Transport Solutions (NTS), which ships nuclear materials for the UK Ministry of Defence alongside commercial energy clients.
