Breakbulk and project cargo specialist AAL Shipping (AAL) is expanding its fleet with four large multipurpose (MPP) heavylift vessels.
The Singapore-based operator has bought two large, 25,800-dwt MPP vessels estimated to be worth around $28m from Germany’s Hartmann Group, and is also taking two sisterships on long-term time charter from Mastermind Shipmanagement of Cyprus.
The company has purchased the 1,571-teu AAL Genoa and Pacific Alert (both built 2010) from Hartmann-controlled Intership Navigation of Cyprus.
