Iran has promised retaliation for the attack on its general cargoship in the Red Sea, implicating Israel and the US as the perpetrators.
Military spokesman Major General Abu Al-Fadel Shkarji said the Islamic Republic "will definitely respond" should an investigation turn up those responsible for the alleged bombing of the 23,175-dwt Saviz (built 1999), according to a report in Russian government-linked news outlet Sputnik.
