Taiwan’s Wan Hai Lines has signed up to build five neo-panamax containerships at Hyundai Heavy Industries.
The liner operator said it will take delivery of the 13,200-teu units starting in the first quarter of 2023. The deal does not include options for any additional vessels.
Wan Hai did not reveal the cost of the newbuildings, which will run on conventional fuels.
