US-listed New Fortress Energy (NFE) has greenlighted a plan to build a modular 1.4 million tonnes per annum floating LNG unit that can be in operation by 2022.
In a fourth-quarter results statement, the company said it has made a final investment decision on “Fast LNG” in an effort to provide a low-cost supply of LNG for its growing customer base.
