Cido Shipping is ordering up to four boxship newbuildings, in a $500m deal that marks a return to the sector it exited in 2017.
The low-profile Hong Kong-based, South Korean-owned tonnage supplier has signed up for the scrubber-fitted, 15,900-teu neo-panamaxes at Hyundai Heavy Industries, sources told TradeWinds.
The contract is for two firm vessels plus two options at slightly more than $126m each, sources said.
