Samsung Heavy Industries has been ordered to pay Stena Drilling $411m after it lost an arbitration tribunal over a cancelled drillship order.
The South Korean shipbuilder said it plans to appeal the findings of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) over the down payment for the offshore vessel.
The newbuilding contract was originally signed on 26 June 2013 for $720m, with delivery of the unit to be made by 20 March 2016.
