Regional Container Lines (RCL) has been linked to a third containership acquisition this year.
The intra-Asian liner operator company is purchasing the 5,888-teu OOCL Antwerp (built 2006) from Japanese owner Shoei Kisen for $33.5m, shipbrokers said.
The deal would mark the second sale-and-purchase deal between the two Asian shipping companies this year.
In February, RCL confirmed paying $31.2m to purchase the 6,350-teu APL Norway (built 2007) from the Japanese owner.
