NYK Line has ordered four LNG-fuelled pure car and truck carriers at Jinling Shipyard in China.
The move for the 7,000-ceu vessels is part of a project to order up to 40 LNG-fuelled PCTCs in a renewal of the Japanese shipping giant's vehicle carrier fleet.
The investments form part of NYK's environmental business plan to halve the carbon emissions of its fleet per tonne-kilometre by 2050.
