Transocean Maritime Agencies has reportedly sold a panamax at a price that reflects rising values in the sector.
The deal comes amid an active period in the sale-and-purchase market for the Monaco shipowner, which also purchased a four-year-old kamsarmax last month.
Brokers claimed that Transocean has sold the 77,000-dwt Ajax (built 2006), which has been in the company’s fleet since it was new, to an undisclosed buyer for $10.2m.
