An Angelicoussis Group affiliate is appealing against a court ruling allowing a compensation claim from the widow of a Bangladesh recycling yard worker who died dismantling one of its tankers to proceed to trial.
Last year Justice Robert Jay ruled that Maran UK arguably owed a duty of care to the Bangladesh yard worker Khalil Mollah who was killed in a fall from the 300,000-dwt tanker EKTA.
