US Gulf tops OSV lay-up list, but stacking seen again in North Sea

The US Gulf still has the most offshore support vessels in lay-up, but units are now being stacked once more in the North Sea.

Analysis by VesselsValue shows 396 of 576 active OSVs laid up in the US Gulf, while 101 of 135 offshore construction vessels (OCVs) are stacked.

Clarksons Research said OSV markets in the region faced significant challenges in 2020, following the impact of Covid-19 on energy prices.
