Shipowner United European Car Carriers (UECC) has bunkered one of its two dual-fuelled vessels with a blend of LNG and liquefied biogas (LBG) supplied by Finland’s Gasum in a ship-to-ship operation off the Swedish port of Gothenburg.
On Wednesday, the 4,000-ceu pure car/truck carrier Auto Energy (built 2016) received its first bunkers of LNG blended with 10% renewable liquefied biogas (LBG), UECC said.
