Finnish marine wind propulsion system designer Norsepower has won its first order to install its tilting rotor sails on a large bulk carrier newbuilding.
Five of the Flettner rotor wind sails will be installed during 2021 on an unidentified vessel being built for an owner that Norsepower said preferred to remain anonymous.
The deal is the first installation of Norsepower’s rotor sails on a bulker, after having been proven to make an 8.2%
