Three seafarers have died and another five were reported missing after a collision between two containerships off China.
The accident involving the 1,290-teu Xin Qi Sheng 69 (built 2018) and 1,714-teu Oceana (built 2013) happened early on Monday in the East China Sea off Shanghai.
The dead and missing are from Xin Qi Sheng 69. The Shanghai Maritime Shipping Bureau said the ship sank with 650 boxes on board.
