Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) has taken its tally of recent secondhand acquisitions to 18 ships as it closes the gap on Danish rival AP Moller-Maersk.
The Geneva-based liner operator has dominated the secondhand containership market, where it is estimated to have spent more than $282m in four months.
It is forking out a total of $22.5m
