Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has ordered a panamax bulker newbuilding at Oshima Shipbuilding that will feature a hard-sail wind-power propulsion system.
The Japanese shipowner has ordered the vessel on the back of a long-term charter from compatriot energy company Tohoku Electric Power.
The 99,000-dwt coal carrier is expected to be delivered in 2022, MOL said.
