South Korean yard Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) has confirmed an order from Adnoc for up to six VLCCs.
DSME priced the order, which TradeWinds reported as upcoming last month, for three firm ships at KRW 282bn ($260m), pricing the vessels at around $86.7m each.
The yard said the tankers will satisfy the second phase of the International Maritime Organization (IMO)'s Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI).
