Over a quarter of all under-construction LNG carriers remain uncommitted, according to shipbroker Fearnleys.
Speaking at the Madrid LNG & Shipping Forum, broker Tristan Jones showed data revealing that 26% or 31 of the 120 LNG newbuildings currently on order are available.
The bulk of these – 20 ships – are scheduled for delivery next year, with a further nine to follow in 2022 and one the year after.
