Valuations for roll-on roll-off vessels — especially the oldest ro-ros — have fallen steadily since January due to Covid-19 and latest-generation newbuildings hitting the water.
Values for 2015-built ro-ros have slipped 7.1% since 1 January, while those for ships launched in 2010 have dropped 11.7%, according to VesselsValue, which began tracking their worth on Wednesday.
Units constructed 20 years ago have lost 21.7%
