Scorpio Tankers has struck a deal to swell its fleet by taking over Navig8 Product Tankers (NPTI) and launching an equity raise up to $220m to back the deal.
The merger deal will ultimately bring in 27 products tankers to the Emanuele Lauro-led Scorpio, though it will start by seeing the tanker owner acquire four long-range-one products carriers for $42.2m
