A Greek-owned VLCC ravaged by fire off Sri Lanka last month is reportedly on its way to the Middle East Gulf to discharge its cargo.
The 300,000-dwt New Diamond (built 2000) is being towed to Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) said on social media.
Sources told S&P Global Platts that it would be “too risky” to undertake discharge operations at any of India’s ports.
