Two product tankers owned by Singapore-registered Somerset Maritime have been arrested by investment bank HSBC over cargo claims totalling $6m.
Court records indicate that the 18,700-dwt Kirana Hasta (built 2018) and the 19,000-dwt Kirana Santya (built 2013) were seized by the Sheriff of Singapore late last Thursday.
HSBC filed cargo owner claims worth $3m against each vessel.
