Fearnley LNG Advisors (FLA) small-scale specialist Ed Glossop says demand for LNG as a marine fuel is forecast to reach 20 million tonnes per annum by 2030, which he estimates would need a global fleet of 70 or more bunker vessels.
This would entail more than doubling the number of LNG bunker vessels (LNGBVs) that currently make up this small specialised fleet.
