Gazprom Neft ships first oil to China via Northern Sea Route

Russia’s Gazprom Neft has shipped a first cargo of oil East to China through the Northern Sea Route (NSR).

The oil company arm of Gazprom said it sent 144,000 tonnes of light Novy Port oil from Murmansk in north-west Russia to the northern Chinese port of Yantai.

Gazprom Neft said the voyage took 47 days but did not name the vessel.
