LNG carriers from projects that are being lined up in Mozambique are expected to turn around the fortunes of South Korean shipbuilders whose order volumes were decimated during the first half or 2020.
The growing number of orders for LNG-powered ships is also expected to help reverse the order drought.
South Korea’s shipbuilders saw order volumes drop by 67% in the first half of 2020, with much of the decline attributed to the Covid-19 pandemic.
