The recent operating performance in MR product tanker rates likely holds the key to rationale behind the strategic partnership announced on Tuesday between Diamond S Shipping and Norden.
That take comes in a client note from Clarksons Platou Securities' equity analyst Omar Nokta, who pointed out that Norden's time-charter equivalent (TCE) rates have outperformed Diamond S in 2019 and especially in the first quarter of 2020.
