Most of us accept that there are potential transition pathways to a decarbonised future for shipping.
To achieve this first “D” of decarbonisation, we need to continue to capture hydrodynamic and other efficiency gains accelerated by the adoption of a second “D”, digitalisation — but our technology focus now is as much on the fuels, energy and propulsion systems needed to supply the dense energy that ships need.
