Awilco Drilling says it has cancelled a newbuilding order for a mid-water semi-submersible drilling rig at Singapore’s Keppel Corp.
It said it was terminating the contract as a result of “ breaches under the vessel construction contract,” but gave no further details.
“The vessel construction contract provides that on termination we will be entitled to a refund of the instalments paid to Keppel of $54.7m
