Nanjing Tanker Co emerged as having the best port state control (PSC) performance in Australia last year.
The Chinese tanker owner attained a deficiency rate of just 0.1% from 17 PSC inspections in 2019, according to the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA).
It beat BP Shipping and MOL Ship Management Co into second and third places — both with deficiency rates of 0.3%
