Quarterly assessments of the cost of operating LNG and LPG tankers are to be published by the Baltic Exchange.
The Singapore Exchange-controlled body said data will be provided by independent third-party shipmanagement companies Anglo-Eastern and AEX LNG Management, Fleet Management and V.Group.
The published opex value, expressed in US dollars per day, is the sum of crew, technical, insurance and fees for a 160,000-cbm LNG carrier and a 78,000-cbm VLGC.
