A second small-scale LNG carrier fitted with a South Korean-designed cargo containment system has gone into full-time operation on a domestic trade after the system proved problematic on two larger ships.
A spokesman for Korea Gas (Kogas)-controlled designer KC LNG Tech said the 7,500-cbm SM Jeju LNG2, which uses its KC-1 membrane-type system, was put into operation “without any problem”.
