American Roll-On Roll-Off Carriers (ARC) has secured a multi-year contract to move US military families worth $7.2bn.
The New Jersey-based Wallenius Wilhelmsen subsidiary said the US Transportation Command had selected it for the Global Household Goods Contract, expected to start in 2021 with domestic shipping and international cargoes added in 2022.
The contract, which can run as long as nine years, will see ARC provide relocation services for service members, the families and civilian US Department of Defense employees.
