China's Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering (CIMC SOE) has scored a newbuilding order from Hartmann Group for a $115m series of LPG-fuelled gas carrier newbuidings.
Industry sources said the German shipowner has contracted the Nantong-based shipyard to build three 5,000-cbm, fully pressurised LPG carriers. The deal includes options for two additional vessels.
An executive at Hartmann confirmed the order, although she said non-disclosure agreements prevent the company from discussing details of the contract.
