Japan’s NYK Line has benefited from the red-hot tanker market by selling a 15-year-old VLCC for $38m.
Brokers said George Procopiou-led Dynacom Tankers Management has bought the 300,000-dwt Takasaki (built 2005), which was constructed at Japan's IHI.
If true, the deal would mark the second VLCC transaction this month for the Greek shipowner, which did not respond to a request for comment.
