Jotun has reported a record result in the first quarter of this year — but a reduction in sales in the coming months is expected following the temporary shut down of production at some of its plants.
The world’s largest producer of marine paints said its operating profit had increased from NOK 580m ($53.7m) in the first three months of 2019 to NOK 792m in the corresponding period this year, which represents a rise of NOK 36.5%.
