MSC Cruises is ensuring non-essential seafarers get home amid its fleet suspension, but the Swiss owner is allegedly not paying them while they wait to come ashore.
The privately held cruise major has, since 1 April, asked the crews to complete and sign a form to apply to be repatriated.
Crew were also reportedly told they would not be paid during the 30 March to 29 May fleet lay-up but would be invited back to work on the ships six months later.
