Equinor has fixed four VLCCs on term charters as the period market remains buoyed by strong spot rates.
The company has taken the 318,000-dwt Nissos Keros (built 2019) on charter from Alafouzos family-controlled Okeanis Eco Tankers for three years, brokers said.
The scrubber-fitted tanker is believed to have fetched a rate of $49,000 per day.
Equinor has also fixed another VLCC on time charter from Greece's Enesel.
