Shipowners and operators of tankers and LNG carriers are seeing the validity of their ship inspection reports expire as the free movement of ship inspectors becomes increasingly limited with the accelerating spread of coronavirus.
Vetting sources said inspections are down to about 20% on normal activity, although there are early signs of improvement in China and South Korea.
