UK-based Union Maritime is entering the VLGC segment, with an order for up to two LPG-fuelled gas carrier newbuildings at South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries.
The Laurent Cadji-led company has placed a firm order for a 91,000-cbm LPG-fuelled newbuilding, for delivery in the first quarter of 2022. The deal includes one optional vessel.
The outfit is said to be paying close to $80m for each ship.
